What is the Pikes Peak Chaplain Corps?

The Pikes Peak Chaplain Corps is a group organized loosely around a military structure for leadership and to pay homage to our history. As a chaplain corps, we gather together monthly for three very specific purposes…

Supporting One Another

A huge benefit to belonging to the Pikes Peak Chaplain Corps is that we are there to support each other. We all have: mentally, physically, and spiritually draining jobs to do. It is with the support of others, who have walked in our shoes, that we find strength and encouragement, as we each walk out being a “Chaplain to a Chaplain.”

Training Together

The IFOC Chaplain course is designed to train you to be a chaplain. One will soon find that there is a need for ongoing training to remain current in the field, acquire new knowledge and skill-sets, and to progress in one’s career in providing exceptional chaplaincy care. We train regularly and most of our trainings are absolutely free!

Serving Together

Serving together is one of the best ways to build esprit de corps within any group. Opportunities for employment, community service activities, and responding to calls together provide a corps with other chaplains we can lean on for wisdom and advice. Service opportunities are regularly communicated to all corps members.

The Results of Being in a Corps…

“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

— Ecclesiastes 4:12

We are blessed by every member and addition to our corps, because we are adding “strands,” so that the cords of: relationship, support, mentorship, and faith remain strong. With every addition, our sphere of influence grows in the community and networking opportunities exist to aid you in your chosen field or specialty of chaplaincy.

Our corps has a friendly, open feel with our relationships developing by organic and natural means. The corps reminds one of a family, as we truly are brothers and sister in the faith and in service. The leadership of the corps is committed to servant leadership; we are here to serve you and help to facilitate you reaching God’s calling on your life as a chaplain!
